TEACHERS, minimum Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or coursework equivalent to a major relating to Early Childhood Education (18 credits), or a CDA (Child Development Associate), with a Professional Development Plan to acquire an Early Childhood relevant Associate’s Degree; AND 480 hours of experience working with young children.

ASSISTANT TEACHERS,  minimum CDA, or are enrolled in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of the time of hire, or are enrolled in a program that will lead to an Associate’s degree with coursework relevant to Early Childhood Education  AND experience working with young children.

CLASSROOM AIDES, minimum of high school diploma or GED, AND experience working with young children.

Job Title: MHP  YARD  WORKERS:  (Gogebic and Ontonagon Counties)  Non-Exempt, Employee at will.  
12-20 Hours per week, varies depending on work.  
Starting wage $14.08 per hour, plus mileage ($0.70/mile)

Under the supervision of the Outreach and Grants Specialist, the Yard Worker will provide services that are intended to assist the household with yard work and small projects to maintain the yard. Duties include: lawn mowing/raking, cleaning up yard debris/trimming overhanging tree branches, removing rubbish, dead branches, etc.  Must have dependable vehicle that can carry needed equipment and must have a valid driver license and proof of insurance. Applicant must have strong interpersonal skills, be a team player, able to understand directions and follow through with them with minimal supervision, be physically capable of preforming tasks and ability to lift up to 50 lbs., willing to perform tasks regardless of perceived degree of importance. Must also have organizational skills, ability to read, and perform mechanical skills. Job Title: Building Janitor (Ontonagon Office).
Non-Exempt, Employee-at-will. Will normally work 4 hours per week; Monday thru Friday, but hours could vary each week depending on snowfall. Starting wage $14.08/hr. plus mileage at $0.70/mile

Under the supervision of the Executive Director and Outreach Coordinator, the Building Janitor performs a variety of skilled cleaning tasks to maintain the GOCAA building. Applicant must have strong interpersonal skills, be a team player, able to understand directions and follow through with them with minimal supervision, must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be physically capable of performing tasks, willing to perform tasks regardless of perceived degree of importance. Must also have organizational skills, ability to read, and perform mechanical skills.  Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, operate an electric snow blower and shovel snow.  Applicant must have a dependable vehicle, preferably a truck, with a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.  Education: High school graduate or equivalent.  Background check is required.

Job Title: Weatherization Program Assistant (1 position Bessemer)
Starting wage $22.98/hr.  Work up to 40 hours/week

The Weatherization Program Assistant provides administrative, office and technical support to facilitate the smooth operations of the Gogebic Ontonagon Community Action Agency’s Weatherization Program in Gogebic and Ontonagon counties.  Must be neat, organized, resourceful and innovative, detail oriented, a team player and capable of independent work.   Computer skills are required.  Ability to acquire Energy Auditor Certificate (training provided).  Must have a valid driver’s license and the flexibility to travel overnight, including weekends.  Background check is required.  Education: Associate’s Degree or a Technical/Trade School Degree in Carpentry, Construction or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
